How the Building Process Works
Grey’s Woodworks manages your project from start to finish, including building plans, permitting support, construction, and installation. Most sheds are built off-site and delivered fully assembled for a fast, clean setup.
PRE-BUILT & DELIVERY
👉 Site Preparation
- Site preparation can be completed by the homeowner or handled by our team.
- For sheds, we level the ground before delivery. For garages, we install a full concrete slab or foundation prior to construction.
👉 Site Preparation Pricing
- Level gravel pad (no pressure-treated ties): $9 per square foot
- Level pad with 4″ × 6″ pressure-treated ties: $17 per square foot
- Pricing applies to sites within 8 inches of level. Additional fees may apply for greater elevation differences.
👉 Delivery & Installation
- Once the site is ready, your structure is delivered using a lightweight mule for easy access and minimal lawn impact—at no additional cost.
- We also offer free & extended delivery options.
BUILD-ON-SITE
For limited-access sites, we offer a build-on-site option for sheds, pool houses, and gazebos for an additional 20% of the base price, with adjustments based on site conditions.
Free & Extended Delivery Options
We offer FREE Delivery throughout Sullivan, Ulster, and Orange Counties, NY.
Extended delivery may also be available in parts of Dutchess and Delaware Counties, as well as select areas in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, depending on the project location and access.
Building Process FAQs
We require buyers to have 10 to 16 concrete patio blocks ready for our crew to use. These blocks should be 2 inches thick, and they should be suitable for leveling.
We require gravel pads to ensure that your new building will have optimal floor support, good perimeter drainage, and a cleaner appearance. A gravel pad will also increase the lifespan of your structure.
In order to deliver a fully assembled building, we require a minimum height clearance of 14 feet and a minimum width clearance of 2 to 4 feet wider than the building being delivered. Be aware of any overhead wires, tree branches, or existing overhangs.
If the site is more than 6 inches out of level, you will be required to install a frame and fill it with gravel or a similar material.
Yes, Grey’s Woodworks offers a five-year workmanship warranty. Materials are guaranteed as specified. We ensure all work is completed in a manner according to our standard practices, and manufacturer warranties may apply depending on the structures you have purchased.
If you request an alteration or deviation that warrants extra costs, we will implement these requests only with written orders. These requests may incur extra charges above and beyond the initial estimate. All agreements are contingent upon strikes, accidents, or delays beyond our control.
You are responsible for fire, tornado, and other necessary insurance. Our crew is fully covered by workers’ compensation insurance.
